Parts of Pennsic were pretty glorious this year! It was nice to be back, although going only for the first week was sweet and mellow, and also terribly sad when we had to leave just as so many of our old (I accidentally typed "odd"...) friends were arriving. Some folks I actually saw for only a half hour. I'm not sure we'll be able to do it again next year that way- it was just a bit too sad. We might have to do the second week instead, if we can get the time off.
Anyway, it was a great week of waking up early outside every morning, smelling like frankincense and myrrh, and crashing onto our sleeping bag nest each night. Juniper ran wild all through the camp and woods, revelling in the entire experience. And all three of us made it to some classes we were interested in. I feel revived. The pilgrimage completed, once again.
