Dreams
The Badger says I should blog my dreams. Mostly so he doesn't have to hear about them, I think;) Last night was an odd one, though. I was at a friend's house and struck up a conversation with a guy outside the house. He resembled an old friend from high school, although I didn't recognize that while in the dream. As we were talking, sitting on the curb, there was a loud sound and a small fruit tree was suddenly punched out of the ground by some large thing moving underneath it, from deep in the earth. This fellow and I had been discussing atheism when we saw this surprising event. I mentioned jokingly that I might believe in supernatural creatures, despite my scepticism on other fronts, and we went over to investigate. As we approached we could see in the disturbed earth a rounded dull piece of metal, like the top of a helmet. For some reason I suddenly knew exactly what this was, but before I could speak, the earth trembled again and a huge goblin-like creature, dressed vaguely in a genghis khan style get-up, leapt from the ground. He had an enormous piece of wood, and he pushed it forward and whacked the guy, who had been staring rather closely, in the head. I had a moment where I was suddenly outside, watching like a dream or a movie, when I thought the fellow might be dead and was sorry for it, because I had thought he was interesting. Then I woke up. The end.
