Clearly, I'm not a person driven to blog, although apparently in late summer and early autumn the desire to put something up here comes upon me with some predictability. Maybe it's something about the return from Pennsic. Anyway, here I am. What am I doing lately? Well, there's been some art recently, and there's about to be a lot more. I am preparing for the two shows mentioned in the previous post. I've been making a lot of little, detailed pieces with dream structures and knotwork.
I'm reading a bit, latest was the 13th Harry Dresden book, _Ghost Story_, by Jim Butcher. This summer I also really enjoyed _The Book of the Maidservant_, by Rebecca Barnhouse, in part because I had read the original she based her character on, the diary of Margery Kempe.
I have a mask in the works, and am hoping to have it ready for Halloween. This is only the second one I've made, but there's something deeply satisfying about it. Too bad there aren't so many occasions to wear them...
Most of my time is spent with Juniper, who is her own piece of art... She keeps me busy, and away from the computer and the art studio, but she's definitely a lot of fun.
