Cloudlight & Streaming Thoughts

The song I'm listening to sounds so much like winter.  Like cold, grey-blue light, and snow.  Like the North.  It's neat and weird, making me shiver.  Good to dance to, as well- a good choice from Rebecca.  Although it's also making me feel guilty for not having my winter holiday card done yet.  Hm.

Update on the Artwalk: it went well this year!  This was my first year having it at my own house, and we had a good number of interested and interesting people both days, and both of us sold stuff, so it was a success.  I am planning to do it here at AEcern again next year.  It's always an enjoyable event, with a lot of people who enjoy and know about art, and are fun to talk to, but it was an experiment to expand our territory out into this neighborhood, so I was not sure what the turnout would be.  I'm happy to report it was more than enough to justify having folks over to AEcern again.  That said, I missed the big-group camaraderie of Dave's.  Rebecca and I had an excellent assistant in Laure, however, and the three of us, often accompanied by Brock, Juniper and Carol, did have fun together.

The Artwalk crew had a nice potluck here last weekend, too.  It was nice to meet up with and socialize with some of the other artists.  I'd like to do it again, too, and maybe get to see other people's art, too.

Last night I attended a felting workshop and had a fantastic time!  I learned something I knew nothing about, but which I might really want to do more of, and very soon.  I already made another ornament this morning, with the supplies she sent us home with.  It's so nice to explore some other media- I'm so traditional, doing the same things all the time.  This was lots of fun.  So much fun to work with wool.

Okay, this is getting long... too much blogging for me!  Maybe I can work on my card for a few minutes.  Juniper is enjoying her Play Doh (a medium I do not feel inspired to switch to...), and it might be a good time for me to draw.
