I have failed to finish the last four new-to-me books I've tried to read, unless you count reading The Snowy Day, Bats at the Library and Peter Rabbit, all of which I've read over and over and over (although I suppose I've read the first and last of those before, but not for a long time). In the middle of my failed attempts at reading Finnikin of the Rock, Bringing Home the Dharma, Odalisque and The Dovekeepers, I did successfully re-read The Bell at Sealey Head. Possibly because it was a sea book, and that's all I can think about with my approaching trip to Oregon. I think I will give up on reading random stuff and go straight into The Windup Girl, which was my own suggestion for a book club read. Don't need to read it until April, but if my streak of luck with new titles continues, I'm going to need the time.
